Marquee Wall Solution

Marquee Wall Solution

When exterior walls are exposed to solar heat and rainwater or high humidity, water and moisture can travel through the masonry and affect your internal walls. This means that your walls may stay damp for a long time before drying, which may lead to mould growth and irreparable damage. In humid areas, wall damage due to water penetration isn’t a matter of if, but a matter of when. Marquee WFM™ is a breakthrough in waterproofing technology. Its thick, elastic, super protective film coat covers the object and blocks water, and now we applied together with SRC™, which helps in reducing the extreme heating expansion cause by high solar temperature, more effectively protects the structural walls.

Cracks in walls are unsightly, but they can also be an indicator of serious structural problems afoot in a home. The freshly-painted walls you admired at the open-for-inspection might be hiding a potential Grand Canyon of a crack. Underestimate the seriousness of cracks in walls and you might find yourself without a roof over your head. We classified wall cracks into three main categories, Interior wall cracks such as cracks in the plasterboard; Exterior wall cracks such as cracks in the brickwork, surface or rendering of external walls; Cracks in foundation walls. Some of the common causes of wall cracks:

1. Climate Factor: Climate and seasonal changes, such as drought and flood, can cause dramatic contraction and expansion of the soil or changes in the water table far below a property leading to wall cracking. The high temperature change can also cause the wall to crack due to over expansion.

2. Water Factor: Blocked gutters, flood damage, moisture in the walls can all cause wall cracks.

3. Degradation Factor: The effects of gravity, weathering, rotting or poor maintenance can all take their toll on building materials. When a building material starts to degrade, its structural integrity might be undermined. This too can cause wall cracks to appear. Concrete cancer occurs when the steel reinforcements in concrete start to rust and degrade following exposure to moisture and salt.

Marquee™ Wall System is changing how walls are constructed and at the same time, both cost-effective and durable. A simple process to apply 2 coats (0.5mm per coat) of WFM™ on the exterior wall and finish with a single coat of SRC™ will take hours to apply instead of days compare to the conventional construction methods above. Marquee™ Wall System solution not only offers waterproof protection for the walls, it also offers fire-resistance and micro-organism protection properties. At the same time, It also provide solar-heat reflectivity protection, thus effective reducing the temperature of the building. The flexibility property also protects the coated wall from possible crack cause by the slightest movement of the ground or structure and etc (However we also recommend to apply 2 additional coats on the interior wall structure to provide stronger protection). Marquee™ Wall System is also equally effective for maintenance jobs on old walls and structure which already experience cracked or leaking problems. Marquee™ Wall System is especially good to extend the lifespan of lightweight concrete bricks that are widely used in modern day’s wall construction.
